Розширення Gnome

[Xobb]

Доброго дня. Недавно поставив Ubuntu 6.10, але так як я нюбі в лінуксі, то стикнувся з проблемою зміни розширення в Gnome. Зараз в мене стоїть розширення 1024х768, а мені потрібно змінити на 1280х1024. Нажаль в настройках такого розширення немає

Монітор: LG L1751SQ
Відеокарта: nVidia Ti4280

хоча все-одно немає в списку розширення 1280x1024.

Воно й не обов'язково буде у списку. Взагалі, у Debian новачкам та лінивим (таким як я) допомагає команда: dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
Виконується у консолі від рута. Там є можливість обрати режими роботи.
