JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide expertise in the planning, constructing, and execution of test suites / test cases.
Participate in designing and building test automation frameworks and coding automated test suites to provide effective and efficient test execution
Provide mentoring for other team members to maintain a test driven environment
Advocate for test automation standards for the rest of the team
Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the teams overall test objectives.
Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.
Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up to date.
Create SQL queries against a relational database when necessary to verify use case scenarios have been met (for some cases/projects)
Review system documentation and create end-to-end testing scenarios based on customer use cases.
Execute functional and regression test scenarios for a web-based application
Create and execute test scenarios in addition to analyzing and clearly documenting all programming defects (software bugs) that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications
Participate in detailed review walkthrough sessions
Collect metrics to measure test progress & quality outcomes Experience in Team Server Foundation is a plus.
