Чи можливо встановити пакунки із Fedora 16, коли в мене Fedora 15

15Наскільки пам’ятаю, то в Debian  можна було вказати репозитарії з новими версіями пакунків, оновити кеш пакунків (чи що воно там оновлювало), і тоді, коли пишеш

apt-get install amarok
, то він просто оновлювався оновлюючи і довстановлюючи все що треба.
Отже питання: можна написати, щось на зразок

yum --reponame=fedora16Repo install packageName
і обійтися без всих цих preupgrade та yum --releasever=16 distro-sync?
А то, схоже, що я вже щось зламав і, мабуть,  буде як із тим арчем.

Error Summary

В jabber в кімнаті  fedora отримав відповідь, інормацію, що людина багато років  користується федорою і завжди оновлювалася за допомого DVD. А як ви оновлююєтеся?

завжди робив це через yum,  з 4-ї по 9-ту версію. (далі KDE 4 спричинило стійку відразу аж до F14 релізу).
Помітив, що з кожним релізом оновлення ставало простіше й простіше, тобто таких от конфліктів ставало помітно менше.

Рецепт був простий -
1. yum distro-sync
2. конфліктні пакети занотовуєм і rpm -e пакетнейм
3. goto 1

якправило, проблеми були з всілякими GUI програмами, особливо якщо встановлені з різних репозиторіїв (livna,rpmforge).
я просто зносив, не задумуючись, проблемні пакети доки yum upgrade не спрацьовував, потім доставляв назад з занотованого списку те що було потрібно.
